Nursery Fabric!

I ordered it all online, which was a little scary since I couldn't see it first and wasn't sure how it would match. But I love it! The monkey background is slightly lighter than the other blues, but I think it is close enough. I'm making a quilt, bumper, and crib skirt out of this. Maybe a pillow or two if I have leftovers. I am copying a crib set that I love, but it was about $500, and for $100 I could buy nice fabric and make it myself. Plus I like my colors better! The inside of the quilt and bumper are going to be baby blue chenille, but I haven't gotten it yet. I'm finished with summer school next week and I have two weeks off before my externship starts, so I'm going to make it sometime during that two weeks. I am very excited about it.

The monkey fabric came from Christa Quilts
It's a great website, and the service is really awesome! I ordered it on a Friday, had it on a Monday, plus she threw in some buttons and a sample of some other material.
The rest of it came from Buyfabric

this is what I'm copying...

Chairs.

Our dining room chairs used to be covered with this off-white material that was getting really old and gross. 4 year olds + white fabric + food = bad idea. So I re-covered them with this stuff, it's still kind of light but it's more beige-y and looks cuter anyway with the rest of our stuff. I've never re-covered chairs before, but it looked easy enough so I tried it. I did this earlier this summer but it goes with the crafty theme of this new blog :)

Huge.

20 weeks...

Coming soon....

The baby! Ben is going to have a little brother. Yay :)
He should be showing up in the beginning of December, or maybe I'll get lucky and he'll come in November. The official due date is the 5th of December.

Isn't he cute?!?!?

This one's a little crazy..... you can see his eyeball!!!

Now I have a blog, too.

Welcome to the blog. It will mostly be about stuff I make, and knit. Mostly knit. And probably some pictures of Jason, Ben, and futurebaby too.

First... some knitting.

This is a tank top I made for Amelia. It's one of the first things I knit... It was supposed to be a dress,
but I made it without a pattern and obviously the size was a little off. So it's a tank top.

These are overalls for futurebaby. The first thing I knit from a pattern, I think... o
ther than hats.

T
his is a halter top for Amelia. I love this... It's made from this super soft alpaca yarn that is rad.

Socks, for futurebaby but modeled by Amelia
