Baby Overalls!

Tonight's project.... some very portland-y baby overalls with a deer head. I love these. I think they're probably a 6-9 month-ish size.

Front...

Back.

Last night's project...

Little shirt and little pants. The shirt is basically the Florence dress pattern but modified (shortened into a shirt, buttons instead of ties on the straps, and button up back, and no pleats). The pants are just plain little straight pants with an elastic waist and some ruffly bottoms.

Crafty day.

Now that we finally know it's a girl - I had to do a little crafting.

I used the tutorials from my fabulous friend Ashley's blog, Make it & Love it.

This is my favorite I think - newborn sized pants and hat with zebra flower and zebra butt patch! Made from a 99 cent turtleneck that was Ben's, and some zebra scraps I had laying around.

And then a matching blanket, hat, skirt and leggings. The hat is size newborn, the pants/skirt are probably 3-6 months? Just guessing. And yes, I totally got this fabric before we found out because I was positive (hoping??) it was a girl. The leggings are the same material as the flower and blanket trim, but the picture isn't very good.

We're having a

GIRL! Yeah!

I am so excited.

Here she is.... (crappy phone picture of one of the ultrasound pictures... I'll have to scan them in later).

The tech started off with all the less-exciting stuff (although having a healthy baby is also exciting!) and we said something about gender, and he said "Oh I already know what it is! Just wasn't going to tell you until I can give you a good shot." So both of us were thinking crap, if he already knows it's gotta be a boy. Then he was checking out the heart, and I saw what I thought might be a penis - but it was too close to the heart so I just kept thinking well maybe that's just something else. And then he said "Nice healthy heartbeat, 136!" And we both thought DANG that's a boy heartbeat....

And then he showed us the gender and it was totally obvious GIRL! Woohoo!

The boys are excited too :) Liam has been saying all along it's a little sister. They both said they wanted it to be a girl, so I'm so glad (and relieved!) that we get a girl - three boys would have been a little crazy!!

Old Wives Tales and Chemistry.

I'm totally going to try all the old wives tales I can find. Except maybe the drano one, that sounds creepy. Although maybe it's related to the Intelligender thing.

Anyway - I did the Intelligender thing. It said girl. At our first midwife appt. the heartbeat was over 150, so supposedly >140 is girl. And then my mom and I just did the needle test, which said girl 3 times. It's like a ouija board! And according to the chinese gender chart, it's a girl. I also double checked that one and it predicted boy for both Liam and Ben, so it seems pretty conclusive.... haha.

7 1/2 more weeks till I can peek!
